At the end of October, Angela and I travelled up to Stone Mountain, GA for the Country Living Fair!
My 'love affair' with the Country Living mag started when a friend of mine picked up STACKS of the publication for .10 a piece! I'm a "magazine junkie' to start with and then you add shabby chic, vintage and crafting all in one spot and it turns in to one dangerous situation really quick! LOL
There were scads of booths set up all cute....thought of my bloggin' buddy Brittany when we came to this particular booth :) Although, neither one of us were lovin' the prices at this booth!
I loved all the little vingettes throughout the different places!
I'm really wishing that I would have gone ahead and bought one of these darling little plants, isn't it the cutest?!!!
"Sisters on the Fly" was there showcasing their vintage "Glamping" (Glamour + Camping = Glamping) trailers - they were just adorable! This was a little seating area they had on display right outside one of the trailers.
The Village Pewter was there giving demonstrations...it was interesting to watch!
I had the priviledge of meeting Jenni Bowlin from Jenni Bowlin Studios! LOVE her vintage, papercrafting goodies!! There wasn't any elbow room in her booth!!!
These next three pictures were from my favorite booth "Lolly's." She just had the cutest ideas/things! Simple little touches, but they added so much to each item! We had bought Early-bird tickets, which meant we were able to get in 2 hours earlier than the rest of the crowd; when I took this picture, the lady was still setting up her booth. Later on I saw that she had added magnets to the "Cole Feeds" sign. The magnets were made from vintage buttons and jewelry... I bought one that I just couldn't leave there :)
Loved the little burlap & bling she added to this basket...I have just the basket that is waiting for me to burlap & bling it :) I'm tellin' ya, you can get SO many ideas from going to places like this!
Don't know what I was thinkin' (or not thinkin') but I didn't take any pictures of the Olive Grace Studios booth...it was set up so cute and I found some perfect fabric and trim that I am just dying to sew up into a little pillow for Katrina's new room!
We both had a really great time being together! Already thinking about where we want to go next year!
I was going to try to do this post with 5 pictures HA! As you can see I failed miserably! However, if you would like to see more pics from our weekend, this link should take you to my FB album :)
P.S. This post was brought to you by my new laptop my sweet Husband surprised me with!
