Cookies, anyone?

Katrina and I were in need of some "Mommy/Daughter" time and she wanted to make a few cookies for a birthday party we were invited to.  So, The two youngest spent some time at Gammy and Grampa's while we got busy!

My beautiful little lady - she is getting so big and too quickly, I might add!  It seems like each day she wants to do some other adult action 'all by herself'!

They turned out 'flatter' than I like, but that certainly didn't affect....

...the yummy, goey, warm, chocolatey flavor ;)  or the memories we made together!!

Katie & Mommy

The girls know that Mommy and Daddy go on dates and that this is a special time for just the two of us. Now, that they are a little older we are taking them on their own little dates :)
Ever since Katrina and I had our little date, Katie has been anxious and reminding me that she needed a date with Mommy!
So last week, we got Katrina off to school, Courtney off to Nana's house and we set out for the library! She had fun picking the books off of the shelves.....

and looking through the pictures ....

and listening to the stories!

I saved the special treat for last and we went to McDonalds and enjoyed a FREE small cone - which she decided to share with Mommy!

We both had so much fun together and she made sure to tell her big Sis about all the fun she had ;)

Just the two of us

On Wednesday, Katrina and I had a fun day together! She was part of the Honor Roll field trip that her school took to a local ice-rink. She has been wanting to go ice-skating for about two years now, so you can imagine how EXCITED she was!! :)
This was only my second time to go, so I was very thankful for those metal ice 'walkers' for her sake. I figured I could keep myself up, but not the two of us together! HA Although, our pastor who is from Canada says if you fall that means you're "on the edge!" I did try it out once! and now I have sore muscles to prove it!

When she first stepped out on the ice, her feet went right out from under her! She hopped right back up and kept going. She even got to 'running' with the walker and then would drop her weight on the top bar and just coast :) We both had the best time together!
You can see we had a good turn out of kids and parents!
When it was time to go, we went to the city and stopped at a few stores. Tar-jay being one of them. I found quite a few good sales there and even bought two Christmas gifts ;)

Looks like this weekend is going to be frigid! We don't have much planned except housework for me and remodeling for Jaron - I am happy to just be home with my family and not have to go anywhere! :)
