Mid-Winter Youth Convention

We are back at home...after a great weekend at the Pilgrim Holiness Mid-Winter Youth Convention.
Jaron, myself, Benjie and Susanna, took 7 teens from our youth group up to Albany, NY for the convention. I know they enjoyed themselves and were able to recieve spiritual help - for which we are very thankful.
The girls did really well for having their schedules completely rearranged for 2 1/2 days, but all things considering I really don't have any complaints. I wasn't able to sit in on the services much, it is very hard for little ones to sit still for that many services in a small time period, but they were great otherwise!
It is always nice to meet new people and worship the Lord together!

Saturday afternoon was spent doing different activities. If you look closely, you can see Jaron at the side; helping to ref the volleyball game.

The special speaker: Rev. Stephen Mills

Saturday morning service.

We rent the facilities from an area church, but since they need their church back for Sunday morning we head over to the Schenectady Pilgrim Holiness Church for the last service of convention. There were 200 in attendance, space was very limited, but that is a good "problem."
It was also wonderful to see Grampa Whitney, although unfortunately we weren't able to talk long.

The different colleges send a rep or a singing group. Since Hobe Sound is many miles from here, they sent a rep instead of a group. Ricky Bourne (sp?) did an excellent job with the Sunday morning devotional, he has quite the testimony!

Teens and food - can't have one without the other! :)

A real treat was to see Jason and Sheri again! and they graciously invited us to their home for a delicious Sunday meal!! (Thanks so much - we really enjoyed ourselves!!!) As you can see, they are expecting their first blessing - 2 more months to go! We are very happy for them and know they will be great parents!!
