The Great Outdoors

This week we have spent alot of time outside - a very welcome change of pace from winter! :)
The beginning of the week, we did some raking, we put the leaves on the garden, to give the soil an extra little boost, so our veggies will hopefully grow "leaps and bounds" :)
Being outside always works up an appetite, so we grilled trout, hotdogs and veggie foil packets. YUMMY!! Then later on we made campfire pies; using a pie iron, pie filling, bread, butter and cinnamon sugar - it was my first time to have these and they were delicious!!! Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture - too busy eating I guess :)

Wednesday we enjoyed our play-date at the park with Vonda, Hailey and Angelina. None of us sat down hardly at all! The kids were too busy playing and we were too busy watching/chasing after them :)
It was a little warm - especially for this time of year; but was still worth being outside!

We (me especially) are enjoying the leaves and flowers making our world a beautiful place...the other morning Katrina noticed there was "grass growing on the trees!" She is old enough now, to start understanding the differences between the seasons and actually has surprised me with how well she is articulating exactly what happens between fall and spring - it really is amazing how their minds grasp new concepts!

I love the pictures of the girls with the daffodils. My kiddos here sure are enjoying getting to play outside with the spring weather we are having.
Andrea hope you have a Happy Birthday today.
Love, A.D.
